May 5th-11th marks the annual week where we recognize the work of those in the public sector. Public Service Recognition Week is the time set aside each year to “educate citizens about the many ways in which government serves the people and how government services make life better for all of us.” This is Brockport- The crews that maintain your Village streets, the office staff greeting you at the Village Hall, the building inspector assuring compliance, the public safety professionals stopping the drunk drivers, the volunteer fire and ambulance personnel responding to emergencies. Functions of dedicated public servants working together collectively to make Brockport a better place to live, work, shop and play. Kudos all around.
